Building the world’s first carbon capture facility to enable fully decarbonised cement production

The Padeswood carbon capture and storage (CCS) project will support the wider construction industry’s transition to net zero by capturing emissions from the cement manufacturing process.

It will create, support, and safeguard a wide range of jobs in both the cement and construction industries.

The project will also create local learning, training and upskilling opportunities, helping the region thrive.
